Orchard Road has been famous as a shopping street, where lots of shopping malls are located. Among them is the Orchard Central, the tallest vertical mall stands right in the heart of the Orchard Road shopping belt, just down the street from both Paragon and ION Orchard. At this mall, shoppers will have a chance to explore more than $6 million of modern art pieces and the world’s tallest indoor climbing wall.

Orchard Central is a premium mall displaying all the greatest things you could ever explore in Singapore; however, not everything here is expensive. It is the only mall along Orchard Road that offer free valet services, and 25% off selected brands for tourists only. Orchard Central is very easy to find, and it is about 5 minutes walk to the MRT Somerset.

The focus of this shopping mall is its fashion brands, a mix of local and international names with labels aimed at young professionals including Levi’s, Quicksilver, Uniqlo, etc. The local brands are far more interesting though, such as Blackmarket — an upscale thrift store with an eclectic mix of vintage bags and clothes from young Asian designers and bizarre trinkets. EGG3 is another lifestyle store selling an unusual range of fashion and accessories. If you don’t come here for the shops, then stay for the rooftop garden which opens 24 hours a day.

Not only Orchard Central, but also do not forget about 313@Somerset Mall which is closed by. This mall stands out from the crowd due to plenty of young and affordable brands. 313@Somerset has become the most popular ‘one stop shop’ on Orchard Road with a wide variety of international young fashion and plenty of places to eat and drink, including an impressive food court on the top floor. At this mall, you always find something going on, such as a live fashion launch, live music or some other hosting events, making this mall even more interesting to check out.

All in all, Singapore is a shopper’s paradise, but with dozens of malls to choose from, cutting through the noise and knowing which mall is right for you is a necessity. But when you are in Singapore, just stop by Orchard Central and 313@Somerset one time, you will be amazed!
